{"id":21979,"date":"2012-07-24T13:11:44","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T07:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=21979"},"modified":"2012-07-24T13:13:01","modified_gmt":"2012-07-24T07:43:01","slug":"bhojpuri-mahuaa-tv-directors-held-for-forgery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/bhojpuri-mahuaa-tv-directors-held-for-forgery","title":{"rendered":"Bhojpuri Mahuaa TV directors held for forgery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Central Bureau of Investigation<\/strong><\/span> has arrested two directors of a <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Bhojpuri Mahuaa TV<\/strong><\/span> channel for obtaining loans to the tune of about Rs.100 crore from three nationalised banks allegedly on forged documents.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0It is alleged that the <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Mahuaa television channel directors forged invoices and certificates<\/strong><\/span> from Chartered Accounts, against which they applied for loans from nationalised banks for business expansion. After the fraud was detected, the banks lodged complaints in January.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The CBI took up investigations and arrested the two directors of Mahuaa channel\u00a0a couple of days ago. They were produced in a special court that granted their police custody to the agency for interrogation.
