{"id":22173,"date":"2012-07-30T18:19:01","date_gmt":"2012-07-30T12:49:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=22173"},"modified":"2012-07-30T18:20:42","modified_gmt":"2012-07-30T12:50:42","slug":"probe-ordered-in-ssc-exam-fiasco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/probe-ordered-in-ssc-exam-fiasco","title":{"rendered":"Probe ordered in SSC exam fiasco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the delayed arrival of question papers of the <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>School Service Commission<\/strong><\/span>(SSC) examination on Sunday, 29 July at several centres in five districts, due to which a large number of examinees could not appear for the test, <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>West Bengal government<\/strong> <\/span>has on 30 July ordered a probe in this fiasco.<\/p>\n<p>The state <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Education minister Bratya Basu<\/strong> <\/span>said that two inquiries- one by the district administration and another by the education department- would be made to identify the cause of the delay and fix responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements would be made to hold tests for those examinees who could not appear due to this fiasco said the minister. The minister said he had talked to <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee<\/strong><\/span> on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0However the chairman of SSC and minister differed in their views.<span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> SSC Chairman Chittaranjan Mondal<\/strong> <\/span>said there would be zone-wise re-examination, but the minister differed and said there would be no zone-wise re-examination.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Mondal alleged that there was a conspiracy to disrupt the recruitment process in schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The SSC examination was conducted to appoint teachers in secondary and higher-secondary schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the delayed arrival of question papers of the School Service Commission(SSC) examination on Sunday, 29 July at several centres in five districts, due to which a large number of examinees could not appear for the test, West Bengal government has on 30 July ordered a probe in this fiasco.
