Sikhs in the Kashmir valley Saturday alleged that they are being neglected by both the central and the state governments.<\/p>\n
Jagmohan Singh Raina, chairman of all parties Sikh coordination committee, Kashmir told media persons here: “In 1947, 35,000 Sikhs were killed because of the strife, and since then we continue to suffer in Kashmir.<\/p>\n
“The Sikh community has been the worst sufferer because of the lingering political dispute over Kashmir.”<\/p>\n
Kashmir Sikhs have demanded that the special internal displacement certificate, given to migrant Pandits, be extended to them as well.<\/p>\n
The Sikh leaders have also demanded that the Chattisinghpora Sikh massacre of 2000 be transparently probed and the guilty should be turned over to justice.<\/p>\n
A national-level ethnic Sikh conference will be held here Aug 17-18 to highlight the problems and sufferings of the local Sikhs, the leaders said.<\/p>\n
