The Competition Commission of India (CCI)\u00a0has been asked by\u00a0The High Court of Delhi\u00a0to “urgently” pass the order on a plea filed by actor Ajay Devgn\u00a0against the alleged monopolistic practices adopted by Yash Raj Films.<\/p>\n
Ajay said in a complaint to the CCI, Yash Raj Films\u00a0(YRF), the production house owned by late Yash Chopra\u00a0allegedly abused its dominant position by asking exhibitors to dedicate more screens to their upcoming release“<\/em>JAb Tak Hai Jaan“<\/em>\u00a0than for his\u00a0“<\/em>Son of Sardaar“<\/em><\/p>\n “<\/em>Jab Tak Hai Jaan“<\/em>\u00a0(starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina and Anushka Sharma) and\u00a0“Son Of Sardaar”\u00a0(starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha\u00a0and Sanjay Dutt) are scheduled for release this Diwali Nov 13.<\/p>\n Hearing the plea of Devgn, Justice Rajiv Shakdher\u00a0asked the CCI to hear the plea and pass the order urgently.<\/p>\n Advocate Rajiv Nayyar, who is representing Ajay, told the court that arguments in the case have been heard by the CCI.<\/p>\n Nayyar said, “Petitioner (Devgn) would require some time to enter into some agreement with exhibitors before its release and the advance booking of the petitioner’s film will commence from tomorrow (Nov 3) but the commission is not listing the matter in spite of the urgency.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Competition Commission of India (CCI)\u00a0has been asked by\u00a0The High Court of Delhi\u00a0to “urgently” pass the order on a plea filed by actor Ajay Devgn\u00a0against the alleged monopolistic practices adopted by Yash Raj Films.
