“Skilling India” will be the theme of Delhi Pavilion at the two-week India International Trade Fair starting Nov 14 at the Pragati Maidan here.<\/p>\n
Under one roof, the Delhi Pavilion – always one of the most popular at the trade fair – will showcase everything that has made Delhi the proud capital of modern India.<\/p>\n
The pavilion is managed by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp (DSIIDC) for the Delhi Goverment.<\/p>\n
A DSIIDC statement said,\u00a0The pavilion will showcase the human resource of the country, including the many skills that have contributed to the spectacular growth of Indian industry, particularly Delhi.<\/p>\n
According to that, Fourteen years of relentless development pursuit by the Delhi government, including implementation of welfare schemes, have earned for the city a better standard of living.<\/p>\n
In the process, Delhi has proved to be a dream destination for people from all walks of life.<\/p>\n
Connectivity has been made easy thanks to Delhi Metro, pollution free CNG buses and other public transport, flyovers and roads that extend to all parts of the city.<\/p>\n
The pavilion also shows why the capital is considered a city that cares for the vulnerable sections.<\/p>\n
Delhi is acknowledged as one of the greenest capitals of the world. This too figures in the pavilion. And so does the city’s rich flora and fauna.<\/p>\n
The House Sparrow, declared the state bird by the Delhi government, is represented and highlighted through a large installation at the entrance.<\/p>\n
