Fast track court sentenced\u00a0six Bangladeshi nationals to rigorous imprisonment for ten years for dacoity and violation of Foreigner’s Act.<\/p>\n
Fast track court judge zR.K.Sahoo, while convicting the six Bangladeshi nationals, also imposed a penalty of Rs 3000. In case of inability to pay the fine, the convicts would have to undergo an additional jail term of 18 months.<\/p>\n
Though for both offences separate quantum of punishment was awarded the judgement says ‘both would run concurrently.’<\/p>\n
The Bangladeshis were arrested in May 2007 in connection with a number of robbery and dacoity cases and booked under different provisions of IPC and Foreigners Act.<\/p>\n
