Bail has been granted by the Delhi High court to a man who\u00a0was allegedly framed in a criminal case for objecting to eve-teasing by a person in his locality.<\/p>\n
A bench of Justice G P Mittal granted bail to Delhi resident Rajkumar accused of attempting to kill and illegally restraining one of the men residing in his locality.<\/p>\n
The high court freed Rajkumar on bail subject to his furnishing a personal bond of Rs 25,000.<\/p>\n
Rajkumar, in his bail plea filed through advocate Sugriva Dubey, had said the complainant, who filed the case against him, was a “tout of the police” and used to “tease” girls passing in front of his home.<\/p>\n
When Rajkumar objected to the eve-teasing, the complainant and his friends dragged him into the house of the complainant, according to the lawyer.<\/p>\n
During the scuffle, the complainant was injured by a brick which incidentally fell on his head, mentioned in the bail plea.<\/p>\n
Rajkumar also alleged that as the injured man had connections with the police, a case of attempt to culpable homicide and illegal restraint under the IPC was registered against him.<\/p>\n
