{"id":26828,"date":"2013-02-15T23:04:12","date_gmt":"2013-02-15T17:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=26828"},"modified":"2013-02-15T23:04:12","modified_gmt":"2013-02-15T17:34:12","slug":"kerala-assembly-refers-bill-on-womens-dignity-to-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/kerala-assembly-refers-bill-on-womens-dignity-to-panel","title":{"rendered":"Kerala assembly refers bill on women&#8217;s dignity to panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kerala Assembly on Thursday referred to the subject committee of the house a bill to safeguard women from harassment and protect their dignity and privacy.<\/p>\n<p>State Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan piloted the Kerala Protection of Privacy and Dignity of Women Bill, 2013, which is intended to prevent harassment and any other attempt or activity to intrude into the privacy and dignity of women and related matters, as per its preamble.<\/p>\n<p>A discussion was held on the bill for more than three hours with active participation from both the treasury and opposition benches.
