{"id":28392,"date":"2013-05-17T16:48:19","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T11:18:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=28392"},"modified":"2013-05-17T16:48:57","modified_gmt":"2013-05-17T11:18:57","slug":"haryana-to-close-1372-schools-for-rte-violations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/haryana-to-close-1372-schools-for-rte-violations","title":{"rendered":"Haryana to close 1,372 schools for RTE violations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Haryana government is likely to order the closure of 1,372 schools in the state for violating the provisions the Right to Education (RTE) act, an official said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The department of school education has a plan to close all the identified 1,372 schools that are being run contrary to the provisions of Section 18 of the (The Right of Children to Free and\u00a0<span style=\"color: blue;\">Compulsory\u00a0Education<\/span>) Act,&#8221; a departmental spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the department has cautioned people against such schools and urged them not to admit their wards in them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These schools are running in an unauthorized manner.
