Delhi Police on Tuesday sought 10 days’ police custody of alleged LeT terrorist Abdul Karim Tunda in a local court in New Delhi.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Tunda was arrested near the India-Nepal border. The Delhi-born, one-handed extremist was on the list of top 20 terrorists wanted by India.<\/p>\n

Metropolitan magistrate Jay Thareja ordered in-camera proceedings of the case on Tuesday after an\u00a0advocate created a ruckus inside the court room.<\/p>\n

Brought to the court under heavy security by the Delhi Police, Tunda was slapped by a Hindu Sena President Vishnu Gupta inside the court premises.<\/p>\n

He is allegedly involved in around 40 bombings in the country. An aide of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim and an operative of Lashkar-e-Taiba, he was also wanted for suspected involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Tunda was arrested Friday in Uttarakhand’s Banbasa area close to the Nepal border when he was trying to enter India.<\/div>\n
