The ministry, in 2002, cancelled the AAI&#8217;s allotment and later allotted the land to SP, Janata Dal-United and Mizo Peace Foundation for construction of their offices.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The AAI moved the high court challenging the ministry&#8217;s decision of cancelling its allotment and handing the land back to it. The plea also sought status quo order on the land after SP started construction. Justice Manmohan, in the interim order Wednesday, stayed the construction by the SP, saying &#8220;status quo should be maintained on the land&#8221;, and posted the matter for Aug 25.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Advocate Sumit Pushkarna appearing for the central government told the court the allotment to political parties is lawful and construction is as per plan.
