seats shortly after a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight landed here from Dubai at around 10 a.m.,&#8221; an official of the Customs Intelligence Department said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the seized gold was worth 450 million taka (about $5.77 million).<\/p>\n<p>The official, who declined to be named, said 10 people, including some passengers of the flight, had been detained.<\/p>\n<p>Seven of the detainees admitted their involvement in smuggling during primary interrogation, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The official said this is the biggest haul so far at Chittagong airport.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2013, customs officials in the country&#8217;s premier Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka seized 1,064 gold bars weighing around 124 kg from the luggage of a Biman Bangladesh flight.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: IANS)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Customs officials seized 105 kg of gold bars at Bangladesh&#8217;s second largest airport in Chittagong Tuesday. &#8220;We&#8217;ve seized 902 gold bars weighing about 105 kg wrapped in polythene bags and placed beneath passengers&#8217;
