Six others were sentenced in absentia as they are on the run. Arrest warrants have been issued for the six.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are found guilty of treason conspiracy by forming illegal armed forces under the name of the Khmer National Salvation Front with an aim to topple the government,&#8221; Xinhua reported citing the Phnom Penh Municipal Court verdict.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Serei, a mastermind of the movement, was sentenced to nine years in jail in absentia as he has fled the country.<\/p>\n<p>The group had carried out hostile acts against Cambodia between 2009 and 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The seven men were arrested in March last year in Thailand&#8217;s Pathum Thani province.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: IANS)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phnom Penh, April 11 (IANS) A court here Friday convicted 13 men of treason and conspiracy and sentenced them to between five and nine years in jail.
