The HPCA had then moved the Supreme Court, which remanded the matter back to the High Court for deciding it afresh.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the High Court had rejected the plea of the HPCA seeking to quash the FIRs registered against it terming these malafide and politically motivated.<\/p>\n<p>HPCA was initially registered as a Society but it later converted itself into a Company with the same nomenclature and transferred the lands leased to the Society by the government to the Company.<\/p>\n<p>The Registrar (Societies) had issued a show cause notice to the HPCA, citing violation of the Societies Act.<\/p>\n<p>However, the HPCA went to the High Court against the notice served by the Registrar and the HC restrained the Registrar from passing any orders till the pendency of the case.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: PTI)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Himachal High Court today reserved its judgement on a petition filed by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) to implead Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and others as respondents in individual capacity in HPCA lease cancellation case.
