When the couple went to the girl&#8217;s parents to seek their blessings they asked the groom to come the next day as they wished to perform some rituals, the petition said.<\/p>\n<p>The next day when he went to bring back his wife, her parents asked him to forget her and also threatened him that if he does not return the marriage certificate and photos, they will kill his wife in the name of honour as she belonged to a different caste, it added.<\/p>\n<p>They also threatened him that they will implicate him and his family in a false case, he said, adding that he tried to lodge an FIR but police refused to do so.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: PTI)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi High Court today directed police to ensure protection of a 22-year-old girl, who entered into a inter-caste marriage against the wishes of her parents, as her husband expressed apprehension of &#8220;honour killing&#8221;.
