minimise the delay in the process of adoption of Indian children.\u00a0<\/span><br style=\"color: #434343;\" \/><br style=\"color: #434343;\" \/><span style=\"color: #434343;\">Some of the changes contemplated in the existing guidelines include provisions for linking the orphan, abandoned or surrendered children of all child care institutions (CCIs) to the adoption system in the process along with treating non resident indians prospective adoptive parents at par with the domestic prospective adoptive parents, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said in a written reply in \/><\/a>It is also aimed at reducing the timeframe for completion of home study report from two months to one month and also simplification of the procedure for inter-country adoptions.<\/p>\n<p><br style=\"color: #434343;\" \/><span style=\"color: #434343;\">Gandhi further clarified that Government has no proposal to set up the State Adoption Resource Authority under the Central Adoption Authority in each state of the country.\u00a0<\/span><br style=\"color: #434343;\" \/><br style=\"color: #434343;\" \/><span style=\"color: #434343;\">At present, there are 26 States Adoption Resource
