The conduct (Paraskar) shows that there was a healthy relationship between them,&#8221; Merchant contended.<\/p>\n<p>In some e-mails, the victim continued to acknowledge Paraskar as a friend, the lawyer said.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the woman&#8217;s contention that she filed the first information report (FIR) late because she was undergoing emotional trauma and depression, Merchant said her twitter account did not reflect such a frame of mind.<\/p>\n<p>Victim even tweeted a picture of her on December 1 last year, &#8220;the day when she said Paraskar allegedly molested her&#8221;, he said, adding that on December 7 too &#8212; when according to her Paraskar raped her &#8212; she tweeted about something, then why she did not tweet about the alleged rape.<\/p>\n<p>Merchant also argued that when the victim approached her previous lawyer, advocate Rizwan Siddiquie, for sending Paraskar a legal notice, she had the FIR in mind. &#8220;She kept asking Siddiquie if an FIR can be registered against Paraskar,&#8221; Merchant claimed.<\/p>\n<p>The victim had even tweeted about a dinner she once had with Paraskar and his wife during this period, advocate Merchant said, adding that &#8220;she was enjoying much more than a normal life&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>While some of her emails to Paraskar referred to sexual intercourse, there was never any mention of rape, he further said.<\/p>\n<p>Chief public prosecutor Kalpana Chavan will start her argument tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Mumbai police today sent a letter to Paraskar, asking him to undergo voice analysis test.<\/p>\n<p>Suburban Malwani police last month registered a case against 57-year-old Paraskar under sections 376(2)(rape by a police officer), 376 C (intercourse by superintendent of jail, remand home, etc) and 354(D) (stalking) of Indian Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>The woman has alleged that Paraskar molested and sexually assaulted her on two occasions in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: PTI)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The lawyer of senior IPS officer Sunil Paraskar today argued that his client had once told the Mumbai-based model, who has accused him of rape, that he looked upon her as his &#8220;sister&#8221;.
