A 23-year-old woman, who came to Mumbai in search of a job was allegedly raped repeatedly for nearly a year by a 57-year-old man in Arnala locality of Virar here, rural police said today. According to API N K Jangam of Virar police station, the victim landed in the house of the accused, Tejpal Singh in October 2013 and lived there after he promised to get her a job. During the stay, the man, an engineer hailing from Uttar Pradesh repeatedly abused the young woman but did nothing to find her employment. After a complaint by the victim recently, offences were registered under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC against him and he was arrested, police added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
