Those who have registered will be legal and can operate as usual,&#8221; Transport Commissioner Rame Gowda told PTI. <br id=\"ms__id926\" \/><br id=\"ms__id927\" \/> The Centre on Tuesday had asked all states and Union territories to ensure stoppage of web-based taxi services, including Uber. <br id=\"ms__id928\" \/><br id=\"ms__id929\" \/> &#8220;The Ministry of Home Affairs has advised the state governments\/UT administrations to ensure that the operations of the web-based taxi services are stopped,&#8221; Home Minister <a id=\"ms__id930\" class=\"storyTags\" href=\"https:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/search?type=news&amp;q=Rajnath+Singh\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Rajnath <\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Singh <\/span>had said in a suo motu statement in Rajya Sabha. <br id=\"ms__id931\" \/><br id=\"ms__id932\" \/> Asked if any time would be given to taxi services to register, Gowda said &#8220;no, they can&#8217;t operate. With immediate effect they will have to stop.&#8221; <br id=\"ms__id933\" \/><br id=\"ms__id934\" \/> On Uber, he said &#8220;&#8230;They have also not registered, so illegal terms will apply to them as well.&#8221;
