{"id":36561,"date":"2015-01-17T18:18:09","date_gmt":"2015-01-17T12:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=36561"},"modified":"2015-01-17T18:18:09","modified_gmt":"2015-01-17T12:48:09","slug":"hc-hear-jindals-plea-news-sexual-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/hc-hear-jindals-plea-news-sexual-assault","title":{"rendered":"HC to hear Jindal\u2019s plea against news on \u2018sexual assault\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi High Court on Friday posted for hearing on January 19 a plea by Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal seeking a direction to restrain the media from airing the news relating to alleged sexual assault case against him and his associates.<\/p>\n<p>A bench of Justice Jayant Nath issued a notice to a private news channel which was allegedly broadcasting the report on it.<\/p>\n<p>The court said it has to go through the response of the news channel and the matter cannot be taken up hurriedly as a comprehensive order has to be passed after a detail hearing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will have to pass a comprehensive order. I will do it on Monday (January 19),\u201d the judge said and<br \/>\nrefused to restrain various media houses from publishing the news relating to the alleged assault.<br \/>\n\u201cAnyway, it (news related to the allegation) has been going since January 6.
