Taking suo moto cognisance of a report, a division bench headed by Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah and Justice Manmohan said, \u201cWhy can’t your officer, who is responsible for the incident, be booked?\u201d<\/p>\n
The court directed the special commissioner \u2018vigilance\u2019 to conduct an inquiry and sought a detailed report by Sep 16, the next date of hearing.<\/p>\n
Sonu, a metal merchant from Faridabad, was beaten up by police when he took a man injured in a roadside brawl to a hospital near the Welcome Metro Station in northeast Delhi.
