Judicial work was paralysed at the Allahabad High Court as advocates abstained from work in protest against a recent indication from the Centre that it might consider setting up a separate bench of the court in western Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n
Addressing the protesting lawyers, president of the High Court Bar Association V C Mishra decried the reported statement of Union Minister Sachin Pilot whereby he had said that a bench in western Uttar Pradesh could be set up if such a proposal was sent to the Centre by the state government.<\/p>\n
