There was no evidence against him that he had played an active role in abetting the suicide.<\/p>\n<p>He contended that his remand period was over, he had been questioned and no further probe was necessary. There was no oral or circumstantial evidence to connect him with the crime or to prove if the victim died due to accident or suicide.<\/p>\n<p>There was also no statement to connect the petitioner with the appointment of drivers.<\/p>\n<p>The former minister also claimed bail on medical grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Krishnamurthy was sacked as a minister recently in the wake of the political row over the death of Muthukumarasamy who allegedly committed suicide on February 20 due to alleged pressure from him while recruiting seven drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Justice K Kalyanasundaram posted the case for tomorrow after the government advocate submitted that the Public Prosecutor would appear in court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Tamil Nadu Minister Agri Krishnamurthy, arrested in connection with the alleged suicide of a government official, today maintained before the Madras High court bench here that there was neither anything incriminating against him in the case nor anything to show he had abetted the death.
