However, the victim died during the operation.<\/p>\n<p>Ashwini, during operation, as per police, sustained six centimeter surgical wound. During post-mortem, it was found that the abdomen cavity was full of blood.<\/p>\n<p>A case was registered under section 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the accused filed a revision petition before the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the case was changed to 304-A (causing death by negligence) of IPC.<\/p>\n<p>( Source &#8211; PTI )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A local court of Pathankot, Punjab\u00a0today acquitted a doctor who was accused of performing hernia operation in a rash and negligent manner which caused the death of a 35-year-old man.
