in the process of allocating a coal block to Naveen Jindal group firm and if there was any conspiracy to allocate the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand, it could not have been without the knowledge of Singh who was also the then coal minister.<\/p>\n<p>Koda, had\u00a0said if there was any conspiracy to allocate the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand to Jindal group firm, it could not have been without the knowledge of the then Prime Minister who was also the coal minister at that time.<\/p>\n<p>The case pertains to alleged irregularities in allocation of\u00a0Amarkonda\u00a0Murgadangal\u00a0coal block in\u00a0Jharkhand\u00a0to two\u00a0Jindal\u00a0group companies,\u00a0Jindal\u00a0Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and\u00a0Gagan\u00a0Sponge Iron\u00a0Pvt\u00a0Ltd (GSIPL).\u00a0Koda,\u00a0Jindal\u00a0and 13 others were\u00a0chargesheeted\u00a0by the\u00a0CBI\u00a0in the case earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the facts of the case and a Delhi High Court verdict,\u00a0Koda\u00a0said in his plea &#8220;it is clear that Dr\u00a0Manmohan\u00a0Singh as Coal Minister has allotted the coal block without public interest and there is sufficient evidence on record warranting this court to summon him for facing trial&#8221;
