{"id":39842,"date":"2015-11-13T10:20:59","date_gmt":"2015-11-13T04:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/?p=39842"},"modified":"2015-11-13T10:20:59","modified_gmt":"2015-11-13T04:50:59","slug":"delhi-court-asks-cbi-to-consider-chhota-rajans-sisters-plea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/delhi-court-asks-cbi-to-consider-chhota-rajans-sisters-plea","title":{"rendered":"Delhi court asks CBI to consider Chhota Rajan&#8217;s sisters&#8217; plea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Delhi court on Friday directed the CBI to consider the plea of underworld don Chhota Rajan&#8217;s sisters, who sought its permission to meet their brother currently in the probe agency&#8217;s custody, on the occasion of &#8216;Bhai Dooj&#8217;, saying they have not met him for the past 27 years and wanted to bless him.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing which took place at the residence of special CBI judge Vinod Kumar, the court asked Sunita Sakkharam Chavan and her elder sister Malini Sakpal to approach CBI&#8217;s investigating officer with their application.<\/p>\n<p>Advocate Rajiv Jai, who appeared on behalf of Rajan&#8217;s sisters, said the court has asked the IO to consider the plea keeping in view the security concerns.<\/p>\n<p>In an application moved before the court, Rajan&#8217;s sisters sought permission to meet the underworld don on compassionate grounds.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The applicants pray that the applicant Sunita Sakkharam Chavan and her elder sister Malini Sakpal may be allowed to meet their brother.
