There are 9,345 cases pending in various CBI courts across India and the 60 existing CBI courts have poor infrastructure and hence there has been a delay in disposing of the cases.<\/p>\n
The move to set up new courts and upgrade the existing ones comes at the initiative of the chief justice of India (CJI).<\/p>\n
The CJI had written to the prime minister explaining the problem and the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had sanctioned 11 new courts while assuring that the existing ones would be upgraded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
