Dhingra made the observation while dismissing the appeal of the advocate to direct the trial court to give him one more chance to cross-examine a witness. <\/p>\n<p>Dhingra said: &#8220;It is clear from the record that the witness has been sufficiently cross-examined on different occasions. Every time the cross-examination was not completed and the matter was deferred for further cross-examination or adjournments were taken.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The judge said the witness cannot be harassed. &#8220;The courts do not exist to provide business to the lawyers. The court exist to provide justice to the litigants. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If after giving several opportunities, a court has fixed a specific time for the cross-examination of a witness in presence of the parties and to the knowledge of the lawyer, then he must make himself available.
