They did not approve of the victim&#8217;s affair with Bharti, daughter of D P Yadav.<\/p>\n<p>The high court had on April 2, 2014 upheld the verdict of the lower court, describing the offence as &#8220;honour killing&#8221; stemming from a &#8220;deeply-entrenched belief&#8221; in caste system.<\/p>\n<p>In August last year, the Supreme Court had upheld the conviction of Vikas and others in the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Neelam Katara has told the Delhi High Court that she may be &#8220;eliminated&#8221; if Vikas Yadav, convicted of murdering her son Nitish, is released on parole.
