{"id":42007,"date":"2016-03-17T05:06:25","date_gmt":"2016-03-16T23:36:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/?p=42007"},"modified":"2016-03-17T05:06:25","modified_gmt":"2016-03-16T23:36:25","slug":"gujarat-6-kin-get-life-killing-20-yr-old-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/gujarat-6-kin-get-life-killing-20-yr-old-woman","title":{"rendered":"Gujarat: 6 of kin get life for killing 20-yr-old woman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Gujarat: 6 of kin get life for killing 20-yr-old woman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vadodara<\/strong>, Six members of a family including two women were sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for killing a 20-year-old woman after setting her on fire in Bharuch district of Gujarat in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Ankleshwar Additional Sessions Judge S B Christian awarded the sentence yesterday to accused Jitendra Vasava, Ranjit Vasava, Harish Vasava, Raman Vasava, Ramila Vasava and Dhaniben Vasava.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place on April 4, 2013 in Vadhewad village of Jhagadiya taluka in Bharuch district.<\/p>\n<p>The victim, identified as Lilaben Vasava, was set ablaze over a dispute on construction of a washroom inside her house.<\/p>\n<p>The accused initially beat her up then set her afire when she was on her way to aunt Savitaben&#8217;s house in the same village.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, soon after the incident, was admitted to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to burn injuries on April 14, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Later a case under 302,307 and 114 of IPC was registered against all the six members of this family.<\/p>\n<p>Gujarat: 6 of kin get life for killing 20-yr-old woman<br \/>\nPTI<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gujarat: 6 of kin get life for killing 20-yr-old woman Vadodara, Six members of a family including two women were sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for killing a 20-year-old woman after setting her on fire in Bharuch district of Gujarat in 2013.
