Additional Sessions Judge Ramesh Kumar said.<\/p>\n<p>The court&#8217;s order came on an appeal filed by the child&#8217;s mother, who has lodged a domestic violence case against her husband, seeking enhancement of the interim maintenance amount awarded by a magisterial court on the ground that she had no source of income to maintain herself and the child.<\/p>\n<p>The woman contended that the lower court had granted a meagre maintenance amount to her son while ignoring the fact that her estranged husband worked in a multinational company.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, a south Delhi resident, had filed a complaint under provisions of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence (PWDV) Act against her husband, whom she married in 2014, alleging that he had mentally and physically tortured her for not bringing sufficient dowry and was later thrown out of the matrimonial house.<\/p>\n<p>( Source &#8211;
