If they were allowed to contest again, it may amount to help the fence eating the crops.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner said that he made a representation on October 18 to the EC and other Electoral Officials to reject the nomination of the two candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The petition is likely to come up for hearing tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Aravakurichi, EC had cancelled polls in Thanjavur constituency also in May last due to corrupt practices.<\/p>\n<p>( Source &#8211; PTI )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A petition was filed today in Madras High Court to forbear the Election Commission from assigning registered symbols to AIADMK candidate Senthil Balaji and DMK nominee in the November 19 assembly by-election to Aravakurichi constituency.
