The plea in the high court had sought setting up of an independent panel of senior cops of Delhi Police to probe the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Ramjas College here had witnessed large-scale violence between members of the All India Students Association (AISA) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).<\/p>\n<p>The genesis of the clash was an invite to JNU students Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid to address a seminar on &#8216;Culture of Protests&#8217; which was withdrawn by the college authorities following opposition by the ABVP.<\/p>\n<p>The plea had also sought lodging of an FIR under various sections of the IPC, including assaulting a woman with an intent to outrage her modesty, against the cops and others who allegedly harassed and assaulted women students and journalists during the protest.<\/p>\n<p>It had urged the high court to issue guidelines to law enforcement agencies while dealing with students and media on university campuses.<\/p>\n<p>( Source &#8211; PTI )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The police today told the Delhi High Court that it has set up a panel to look into the recent violence at Ramjas College where students and scribes were allegedly assaulted by cops.
