However, his application was rejected on February 1.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, a writ petition was filed on February 6 in the high court.<\/p>\n<p>Furlough is leave from prison that every convict is entitled to by way of right, senior counsel Anil Mardikar said.<\/p>\n<p>A prisoner is entitled to be released on furlough for 14 days in a year.
