After the \u201csurrender\u201d, police took them in custody.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing the petition filed by their families, the <strong>court<\/strong> found that they were wrongly detained by police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the duo deposed before court, the police\u2019s lie was exposed. The high <strong>court<\/strong> has ordered immediate release of the two,\u201d said Prashant Jena, advocate for the Paridas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow can somebody surrender if there are no <strong>cases<\/strong> against them?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The district police had not only shown them as surrendered Maoists but also announced to rehabilitate them according to the surrender policy. But now, the local police are singing a different tune.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are not Maoists but sometimes they get involved in Maoist activities unknowingly,\u201d said R.N.
