Fake ID cards have already been seized by the police. Prima facie, it is clear that accused persons impersonated as BSES officers to cheat the people and extort money.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>An FIR was lodged on the complaint of BSES Yamuna Power Ltd DGM Mahesh Kumar saying they received information that on May 17, some persons will come to New Rajender Nagar in Central Delhi impersonating as BSES enforcement team.<\/p>\n<p>The FIR alleged that the accused would visit houses on the pretext of raids against electricity theft or meter tampering and would extort money by posing as BSES officials.<\/p>\n<p>The complainant said their team went to the spot and found that four persons were checking the meter box of a house. On being asked about their identity, the accused showed ID cards which appeared fake.<\/p>\n<p>When the accused could not give any satisfactory reply, the BSES team called the police and the four men were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The police have booked them for the alleged offences of cheating by personation, forgery for purpose of cheating, using forged documents as genuine and common intention under the IPC.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1490771277198-0\" class=\"article-middle-banner\" data-google-query-id=\"COHx6-LyhdQCFcWkaAodpDMP0w\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Next time when officials claiming to be from a power distribution company visit your place, open the door only after thoroughly checking their credentials.
