Ramalinga Raju.<\/p>\n<p>A bench\u00a0of Chief\u00a0Justice\u00a0K.G. Balakrishnan and\u00a0JusticeDeepak Verma, however, allowed Gopalkrishnan to move\u00a0the court\u00a0afresh for bail on the grounds of delay by the Central Bureau of\u00a0Investigation\u00a0(CBI) in completing its probe and filing a chargesheet in\u00a0the case.<\/p>\n<p>Following\u00a0the court\u2019s permission to file a fresh application, Gopalkrishnan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>counsel<\/strong>\u00a0Siddharth Luthra withdrew the bail plea.<\/p>\n<p>Senior\u00a0<strong>counsel<\/strong>\u00a0Luthra had earlier argued that his client was only a partner in the global\u00a0accounting\u00a0firm and was implicated by the CBI.<\/p>\n<p>He contended that the CBI has no evidence of his involvement in the\u00a0accounting\u00a0<strong>fraud<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The apex\u00a0<strong>court<\/strong>\u00a0March 15 had denied bail to Satyam founder Raju, saying that he is the main accused in\u00a0the case.<\/p>\n<p>The court\u00a0refused to grant him bail apprehending that once out, he might interfere with\u00a0investigation\u00a0and influence witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>The apex court Feb 3 granted bail to another Price Waterhouse auditor Talluri Srinivas, who had been denied bail by the Andhra Pradesh High\u00a0<strong>Court<\/strong>\u00a0last December.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme\u00a0Court\u00a0Monday denied bail to Price Waterhouse auditor Subramani Gopalkrishnan allegedly involved in a Rs.7,136-crore financial\u00a0fraud\u00a0along with Satyam Computer\u2019s founder chairman B.
