Tamils have been subject to atrocities and war crimes perpetrated by the Mahinda Rajapaksa government in that country,&#8221; the Indo Aryan News Service said quoting the spokesperson for the protesters.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters have marched from Bachchan&#8217;s Pratiksha bungalow to his Jalsa residence and a delegation has met the superstar and two IIFA officials to convey their disapproval of his visit to the island nation.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Bachchan has reportedly assured the protestors that he would convey the sentiments of Tamils to the IIFA governing board and take a suitable decision.<\/p>\n<p>Sri Lanka has been chosen as this year&#8217;s venue to host the India&#8217;s premier movie award event from June 3-5.<\/p>\n<p>Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa warmly welcomed the Bollywood star and his delegation last Tuesday (April 20) at the President&#8217;s House<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Hundreds of Tamils shouting slogans took to the streets outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai today (April 25).
