He had said their nomination was void as it was in contravention of the constitutional provisions and made by an &#8220;incompetent authority&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress MLA submitted that the BJP legislators were &#8220;nominated through the backdoor&#8221; by violating constitutional provisions.<\/p>\n<p>The first bench comprising Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice M Sundar reserved orders on the petitions, after hearing arguments from both sides.<\/p>\n<p>The three nominated MLAs were sworn in as members of the Puducherry Assembly by Lt Governor Kiran Bedi in July.<\/p>\n<p>( Source &#8211; PTI )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Madras High Court today reserved orders on a batch of petitions relating to nomination of three MLAs in the Puducherry Assembly by the Centre which was cancelled by the House speaker.
