The Gujarat High Court Monday came down heavily on its own registry for not complying with the court\u2019s own rules.<\/p>\n
It dismissing a petition which challenged the Central Administrative Tribunal\u2019s (CAT) decision to deny notional promotion after voluntary retirement.<\/p>\n
A division bench of Justice M.D. Shah and Justice D.H. Waghela said: \u201cIn thorough disrespect of the (Gujarat High Court) rules and requirement of furnishing readable papers, filed are such papers bound in such manner that they can hardly be read and the office is somehow accepting and permitting such papers to be circulated.\u201d<\/p>\n
The bench observed that earlier judicial orders do not seem to have been read and asked the registrar (judicial) \u201cto take appropriate departmental action against the officer concerned whose responsibility it is to see that the Gujarat High Court Rules, 1993, are fully and properly complied with in registering the petitions and circulating them for hearing before the court.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
