The bench also compromises\u00a0Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court was hearing a plea for a court-monitored Special Investigation Team probe into the lynching of Qasim, a cattle trader, in Bajhera village in Hapur district on June 18.\u00a0In August, while hearing the plea of a survivor in the case, the court had asked the IG\u00a0Meerut to submit a report on the entire incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe investigation in the case will be carried on under the direct supervision of the IG of Meerut range,\u201d the bench ordered, fixing the matter for further hearing after two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samiuddin and 45-year-old Qasim Qureishi were assaulted at Hapur on June 18 by a mob allegedly by cow vigilantes.
