Jindal Global University and Dean of Jindal Global Law School, in his special address, thanked the transgender community for giving the faculty and students at the University an opportunity to contribute to the process of legal empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;There are very few educational spaces that provide opportunities to move beyond the classroom and engage with social movements that have the potential for fundamental social transformation,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The handbook is divided into four chapters: Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Getting Government Identification, and the Right to Information.\u00a0The Handbook will be made available online, and CHLET is currently working on translating the handbook in seven regional languages as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI:\u00a0A handbook titled \u201cRights of Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming People in India\u201d\u00a0was launched by the Centre for Health, Law, Ethics and Technology (CHLET) of the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS).\u00a0\u00a0Jindal Global University has unveiled the handbook which is based on\u00a0\u00a0rights of transgenders and gender non-conforming people in India.
