{"id":54282,"date":"2018-10-03T18:23:03","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T12:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/?p=54282"},"modified":"2018-10-03T18:23:10","modified_gmt":"2018-10-03T12:53:10","slug":"will-work-out-parameters-for-urgent-mentioning-and-hearing-of-cases-cji","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/will-work-out-parameters-for-urgent-mentioning-and-hearing-of-cases-cji","title":{"rendered":"Will work out parameters for urgent mentioning and hearing of cases: CJI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>New Delhi:<\/strong>Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi Wednesday said &#8220;parameters&#8221; will be worked out for urgent mentioning and hearing of cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice Gogoi, who took oath as the 46th CJI, said &#8220;no urgent mentioning of cases will be allowed&#8221; till certain parameters are fixed for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We will work out the parameters then we will see as to how mentioning will be done,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;If somebody is going to be hanged tomorrow, then we can understand (urgency)&#8221;, the CJI said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath to the 63-year-old Justice Gogoi at a brief ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan&#8217;s Darbar Hall.
