Sikri quashed the FIR and also dropped contempt proceedings against them. It asked the lawyers to provide free legal aid to at least 24 people in the next two years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;All of them will also have to together pay a fine of Rs.50,000 which will be used as fund for activities of Rohini Bar Association,&#8217; the court said after the lawyers tendered an apology.<\/p>\n<p>The group of advocates had allegedly manhandled Additional District Judge Pankaj Gupta July 8, last year at Rohini District Courts.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, the high court issued notices against them and said: &#8216;Prima facie, it (incident) amounts to contempt of court.&#8217;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi High Court Thursday asked nine lawyers allegedly involved in the manhandling of a judge in Rohini District Courts to provide free legal aid to the poor for two years and quashed all the proceedings against them.
