Regarding NCRB report on rising crime rate, he said earlier the cases were not reported and the reporting of crime has increased with the launch of online portal after the Nirbhaya incident. \u201cThere is no doubt that cases are rising but the fact is that reporting of cases has gone up and it is very important to deal with these<\/p>\n<p>The number of cases being registered has gone up after it was made mandatory for police to register such crimes and probe within four months,\u201d he added. Expressing concern over cyber crime threats, he said: \u201cThis is a serious issue. Our government is taking steps like launch of cyber crime portal.\u201d \u201cThe cyber crime will pose a problem in future. There should be discussion in the House on this issue.
