Saying honour killings were nothing but cold-blooded murders, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday demanded that fast-track courts be set up to deal with the growing incidence of such cases.<\/p>\n
‘The BJP demands that fast track courts must be set up to deal with such cases so that such practices do not continue,’ BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.<\/p>\n
In an alleged honour killing, a couple who had married four years ago against the wishes of the girl’s parents were found murdered in north Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area.<\/p>\n
While 26-year-old Kuldeep was found shot dead in his car Sunday evening, his wife Monica, 23, died after being attacked by a sharp object at their house. Shobha, a cousin of the woman, was also found murdered.<\/p>\n
In another incident, a 19-year-old girl and her boyfriend were tortured to death by the girl’s uncle and father in north Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area June 14.<\/p>\n
