The information was shared with the Delhi Police &amp; they were held. The Police claimed that the couple were planning to carry out suicide attacks in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Pramod Singh Kushwaha, DCP (Special Cell) said that \u201cJahanjeb Sami &amp; his wife Hina Bashir Beg are linked to Khorasan Module of the IS. The couple were apprehended from Jamia Nagar in Ohkla. They were instigating anti-CAA protests in the city&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr Kushwaha, the couple had moved to Delhi from Srinagar in Aug 2019. The husband was working with a private company, while the wife stayed home. The Delhi Police had recovered incriminating material from their rented accommodation in Jamia Nagar.<\/p>\n<p>The Police said Jahanjeb was actively involved in the propagation of the recently published IS magazine\u00a0Sawt al-Hind\u00a0(Voice of India) in Feb 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The couple came under the scanner after their activities on cyberspace were noticed by the intelligence agencies.<\/p>\n<p>A Cop said that \u201cThe couple was much active on social media &amp; used to call India Muslims to come together &amp; fight against the Indian government in\u00a0protest against the CAA legislation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Sami has also told that one of his close associates, Khattab, is, in fact, Abdullah Basith, who is currently lodged in the Tihar jail as an undertrial in the IS-related cases.<\/p>\n<p>The officer stated that \u201cWe are tracking down their source of funds &amp; logistic support. We have seized their mobile phone &amp; laptop to find out groups they had created to connect with the people.
