In “Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon Memorial’ online\u00a0 lecture series of ABAP (Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad), Mr. Mahesh Jethmalani, Sr Adv, Supreme Court & Professor (Dr.)Dilip Ukey, Vice Chancellor, MNLU, Mumbai will share their thoughts on the topic ‘Making Our Criminal Justice System Work’. Lecture will begin by 5.00PM on 23.05.2020 (Saturday).<\/p>\n

In this online lecture series 1st Lecture was delivered by Mr. K.K. Venugopal, Sr. Advocate, Attorney General of India on the topic “Contours of Judicial Review’ on 08.05.2020, the lecture is available on social media platforms of ABAP. In this Lecture , Prof C. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of O.P. Jindal University had delivered welcome address.<\/p>\n

In continuation to this, Mr. Mukul Rohatgi, Senior Advocate and Former Attorney General of India shared his thoughts as Keynote speaker. Welcome Address was delivered by\u00a0 Dr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Eminent Academician, (Vice Chancellor of NLSIU, Bengaluru) on the topic ‘Journey of Supreme Court from 1950 till now’.<\/p>\n

Followed by same, Prof. Ved Prakash Nanda, Padma Bhushan & Professor of Law, University of Denver, USA shared his thought on the topic ‘India’s Leadership in Environmental Law Regimes in light of India’s Ethos’.<\/p>\n

In order to utilize this lockdown period and for the benefit of lawyers, initially Akhil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parishad (#ABAP) organized an \u2018Online Lecture Series\u2019 in the name of ‘Dattopant Thengadi Lecture Series’ (from 20.04.2020 to 02.05.2020) prior to present ‘Prof. Menon Lecture Series. In Dattopant Thengadi Lecture Series, several Senior Advocates, ASG or Prominent Legal Personalities shared their views on a given subject\/topic. The basic idea behind this Online Lecture Series is to benefit the legal fraternity from the vast experience of Senior Advocates and experts in their field.\u00a0\u00a0Adhivakta Parishad organized more than 12 online lectures which have been broadcasted live on Social Media Platforms and more than 50,000 people have been benefited with lecture delivered by Prominent Legal Personalities including Mr. Harish Salve, Senior Advocate who delivered his lecture on 02.05.2020.<\/p>\n
