Get free legal aid in Haryana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All senior citizens and transgenders in Haryana will now be eligible to get free legal services, an official said here Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) member-secretary H.S. Bhangoo said the state government has amended the Haryana State Legal Services Rules, 1966, to include senior citizens and transgenders in the list of people eligible for free legal aid.<\/p>\n<p>They would not have to pay advocate fees, court fees, expenses of witnesses, preparation of the paper book, supply of certified copies of judgments, orders and other documents.<\/p>\n<p>Bhangoo said that for getting such aid at the high court level, an application would have to be filed before the HALSA member secretary.<\/p>\n<p>For getting it in the district, an application would have to be filed before the chief judicial magistrate-cum-secretary, District Legal Services Authority.<\/p>\n<p>For sub-divisional level, the application would have to be filed before the additional senior-most civil judge-cum-chairman of the legal aid authority.<\/p>\n<p>The official added that free legal service can be obtained for civil, criminal, revenue and administrative matters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All senior citizens and transgenders in Haryana will now be eligible to get free legal services, an official said here Wednesday.
