Muralidhar allowed the plea of Yashbeer Singh to apply for the post of member and said: &#8216;The petitioner (Singh) is permitted to apply for both the posts. His application will be considered but a final decision on the candidates to be appointed will not be taken by the respondent (Delhi government)&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The court was hearing a petition filed by Singh challenging the government&#8217;s advertisement for the appointment of two members for the commission.<\/p>\n<p>He said the state consumer panel consisted of three members, including the chairman. As per law, the government can reserve only one of the posts for panel&#8217;s members.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that in the recent advertisement, the government reserved both the posts of members.
